Boogie down in the Bronx with a 10-mile race through this vibrant New York City borough. With title sponsor New Balance back again this year, the New Balance Bronx 10 Mile promises to be an even bigger and better event for all runners, their friends, and their family.
The 2017 New Balance Bronx 10 Mile is part of NYRR's Five-Borough Series: Run New York. Five Boroughs. One City. The NYRR Five-Borough Series showcases our renewed commitment to the individuals and communities in each borough. More than just five races, the Five-Borough Series—the United Airlines NYC Half, the Airbnb Brooklyn Half, the NYRR Queens 10K, the New Balance Bronx 10 Mile, and the NYRR Staten Island Half—is a celebration of what makes each borough unique, inspiring, and an amazing place to get out and get moving!
Event hashtag: #NBBronx10M—use it in your tweets, Instagrams, and Facebook posts!
Eligibility for entry to the 2018 United Airlines NYC Half will be guaranteed for NYRR members who have an active membership by the last qualifying event of the 2017 NYRR Five-Borough Series (Staten Island Half on October 8), and who run four of the following six events in 2017: Fred Lebow Manhattan Half, United Airlines NYC Half, Airbnb Brooklyn Half, NYRR Queens 10K, New Balance Bronx 10 Mile, and NYRR Staten Island Half.
Add meaning to your miles by running the New Balance Bronx 10 Mile with NYRR's Team for Kids. You'll help raise vital funds to support NYRR Youth Programs and have unlimited access to TFK's team of coaches via email and phone.
We encourage participants to take public transit to and from the race. For participants looking to drive to the event, parking garages will be open at the following locations in the Bronx with the following rates. Please note that payment for parking in all three garages must be made with a credit or debit card.
Members of the NYRR Pace Team will guide participants toward specific goal times over the 10 miles. There will be signs in the corals starting at 7:00 per mile. If you choose to run with a pace group, pacers—you’ll recognize their blue and white striped tanks—will carry signs that correspond with the finish times and paces below:
Live unofficial results are available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org and in the NYRR app. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and get unofficial results right after the race!

The New Balance Bronx 10 Mile starts on the Grand Concourse between McClellan Street and 167th Street, and finishes on East 161st Street near Macombs Dam Park and Yankee Stadium.
Miles 1–4: Start by heading North on the Grand Concourse. At about 3.5 miles, turn left onto Mosholu Parkway. At the four-mile mark, near Goulden Avenue, make a U-turn on Mosholu Parkway heading east towards the New York Botanical Gardens. After reaching the Botanical Gardens, head west on Mosholu Parkway, back toward the Grand Concourse.
Mile 5: Continue west on Mosholu Parkway until you reach the Grand Concourse, where you will turn left.
Mile 6–9: Continue south along the Grand Concourse.
Mile 9–10: Pass the starting line and continue past Joyce Kilmer Park. At East 161st Street, turn right and follow the road toward the finish line.
Time Limit: In the interest of safety, any participant who is unable to maintain a 13:45-per-mile pace throughout the race (2:17:30 projected finishing time) will be picked up along the course, starting at approximately mile 6, and transported to the finish. The time it takes for the last runner to cross the start line will be added to the overall 2:17:30 time limit, ensuring all participants a 13:45-per-mile pace. NYRR thanks you in advance for your cooperation with this policy.
